About Us

Purpose: The main goal of Synapse is to act as the “bridge” that undergraduates can utilize to network with research faculty and fellow students. Synapse is primarily a club for neurobiology majors, but if you have an interest in your brain at all, you might consider coming to a meeting to check it out. At meetings we will have different neurobiology and psychology faculty speak about their research. This will help to enhance student/faculty relations and allow you to refine your interests by learning about the many different branches and fields of neuroscience. You will have several opportunities to talk one-on-one with faculty, and if you are interested in undergraduate research, you have the advantage of working with someone you hear at a meeting. In addition to speakers, Synapse will also help you network with students who have the same interests and goals you might have. Requirements: Help us eat free pizza and ask lots of thought-provoking questions! Join our Facebook group to get notified about our upcoming meetings.
