No-show and Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a scheduled interview, you must notify the Career Design Center 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in the loss of interviewing privileges. A cancellation the same day of the interview is viewed as a no-show.

A first no-show will not result in any formal disciplinary action, but it is strongly recommended that you send a letter of apology to the recruiter whose interview was missed. After a second no-show, your ScienceWorks account will be blocked, you must meet with the Director in our office before being allowed to take part in any more interviews, and you must write a letter of apology to the recruiter of the company whose interview you missed.

So now that you have landed that job what’s next? What do you do if you have multiple offers? How do you negotiate a salary? The hard part is over, but in order to maximize your income and to assure you are getting a fair salary, negotiating skills are important. Our Career Coaches can equip you with the knowledge and information that can help you make the best of your job offer.
