The Health Professions Office provides UT students with the information necessary to make informed academic and career decisions. Pre-Health Professions Coaches and peer mentors are available to help you determine school admission requirements, coach you on health career options and alternatives, and provide you with information about professional schools in Texas, across the country, and around the world. Pre-Health Professions Coaches offer students counseling and coaching as well as present workshops on topics regarding professional school application and interviewing procedures.

Letters of Evaluation
Letters of evaluation are key pieces to your professional school application. Each application has it's own way of collecting letters and number and type of letters vary from school to school. Check with the application service you are using for additional details. If you are applying to multiple medical or dental school application services we recommend you look into using Interfolio to collect your letters of recommendation.
Essays & Personal Statements
Our office, in collaboration with the Undergraduate Writing Center, provides support through Personal Statement Workshops designed to give you the tools you need to start your essay. We also offer personal statement review appointments to give feedback on final drafts of these essays.
The Undergraduate Writing Center is an excellent resource for coaching on writing application essays as well as recommendations for a polished finished product.
Interviews
It is important to professionally and properly represent yourself to an admissions committee. From what to wear, to anticipating what questions might be asked, our Career Coaches are here to help you prepare for the strongest professional school interview possible.

How To Use InterviewStream
If you would like direct interview preparation and practice, please call 512-471-6700 to schedule a 1hour Professional School Mock Interview/Feedback session with a Career Coach. Please bring a hard copy of your personal statment and come dressed as you would for a professional school interview. Health Professions students may have one mock inteview per application cycle.
