Welcome to the CNS Career Design Center! We have provided several resources below to help your company be successful in recruiting our students in the College of Natural Sciences!
Post a Job on ScienceWorks
ScienceWorks is our on-campus recruiting and job posting site for the College of Natural Sciences that allows employers to post paid full-time, internships, or part-time positions for Natural Sciences current students and recent grads (within the last semester of graduation). *Unpaid internships are allowed on a case by case basis for companies in the biology industry.
Positions that require more than 1 year of experience or positions that are contract/short-term positions, should be posted to AccessUT, which is a job posting site for all current students and alumni of the University of Texas at Austin.
Third-party recruiters: Please note that we do not allow third-party recruiters to have access to our recruiting system. If you are a third-party recruiter, we can post your position for you if you allow us to disclose the name of the company the position you are recruiting for would be with. Otherwise, please proceed to AccessUT.
Participate in Our Career Fairs
We currently hold two career events each year. The Career Expo is held each fall semester, usually in September, and the Spring Career Fair is typically held at the end of January/early February. Employers that attend hire students from various natural sciences backgrounds and are seeking candidates for full-time, part-time, internship and co-op positions.
2013 Fall Career Expo:
Frank Erwin Center Monday, September 16, 2013 1:00pm - 6:00pm
Registration Information To register, please login to ScienceWorks and click on the "Career Fair & Events Tab" in the top menu bar>search>career fair>search>click on Fall 2013 Career Expo> Register!
Note: Registration will open by the end of May 2013
We will again offer a “Start-Up Village” section of the career fair. This section will be reserved especially for newly formed companies that want to target Natural Science students for internships and full-time recruiting. All start-up companies will be grouped together in a special section of the Erwin Center with special signage and a matching color scheme to distinguish yourselves from other participants. This will give your company the opportunity to build your brand and introduce your employment opportunities to our students.
