Career Fairs and Expos

The Career Expo is held each year at the end of September. Approximately 130 employers who hire students from various natural sciences backgrounds attend. Employers in attendance are seeking candidates for full-time, part-time, internship and co-op positions.

The Spring Career Fair is held each spring in early February. Approximately 100 employers are generally in attendance. Employers in attendance are seeking candidates for full-time, part-time, internship and co-op positions.

On-campus Interview Schedules:

To reserve interview rooms, contact our This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . These rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. Due to the limited number of interview rooms, we cannot accommodate ‘greeter’ rooms.

Schedule Types:

• Preselect: All applications and interview sign-ups are handled electronically in ScienceWorks. The whole process generally takes 3-4 weeks from the date of posting.
• Room only: A job description can be posted in ScienceWorks (not required) and the interview schedule is built manually by the recruiting company and provided to the Recruiting Coordinator at least 1 business day prior to the interview date. These work best when there is a short turnaround time from the date you post, to allow for a longer resume submission process.

**Note: All room reservations made within seven business days of the Career Fair are room-only reservations.

ScienceWorks is our on-campus recruiting and job posting site for the College of Natural Sciences that allows employers to post paid full-time, internships, or part-time positions for Natural Sciences current students and recent grads (within the last semester of graduation).

Positions that require more than 1 year of experience or positions that are contract/short-term positions, should be posted to AccessUT, which is a job posting site for all current students and alumni of the University of Texas at Austin.
