CNS uses eRecruiting as our online system to search job postings and interview, so please make sure to become familiarized with the system. You can log on at
http://utns.erecruiting.com.
Once you log on you will see a bar across the top consisting of Profile, Documents, Applications, Jobs, etc.
- Start with PROFILE
- Fill out the 4-part registration, which consists of Personal Info, Academics, Future Plans, and Administration.
- Next go to DOCUMENTS
- Select the document you want to upload Resume/Cover Letter.
- Make sure that you have the document in Word format and saved to a disk to upload properly.
- Publish the resume to a Web Resume Book that suits your needs (Full-time, Part-time, Co-op/Intern). This will ensure that employers can see your resume when searching through the resume books and yes, you can publish to more than one resume book.
- Once you have completed both of these parts, you will be able to search and apply for jobs that meet your needs and the employer's requirements.
- Click on JOBS and INTERNSHIPS to search active jobs that have been posted through Career Services. Some of these jobs you will only be able to apply for if you have met certain employer-specified requirements (i.e. GPA, Citizenship).
- Click on APPLICATIONS to show you which jobs you have made applications for and your status with them thus far.
- Click EVENTS or CALENDAR to show upcoming events or events that you have signed up for during the semester.
- Click EMPLOYERS to search by name or industry and find their contact information. We suggest email as the best way to contact them; phone calls can become distracting for employers.
PLEASE BE ADVISED:
By submitting your registration data and resume, you are authorizing the career services office to refer your profile/academic data and resume to employers. Please keep your registration correct. Falsification of data may result in a loss of interviewing and system privileges.
