The goal of the Math and Chemistry Assessments is to ensure readiness for math, statistics and chemistry courses at UT Austin through accurate assessment and interactive learning.

Math, SSC (statistics) and chemistry courses at UT Austin are demanding and there is a high level of expectation.  It is important for students to be accurately and appropriately assessed and placed.

All students enrolled in classes that require the Math or Chemistry Assessment must complete the assessment, meeting the minimum placement score, by noon on the first class day of the Summer 2012 semester. Fall 2012 students must complete the exam, meeting the minimum placement score, by midnight on August 26.
