Study Abroad
Strait_of_GibraltarThe College of Natural Sciences believes that study abroad is an excellent way for students to amplify their regular course of study.

Wherever and however you want to go abroad, therefore, we're here to help you find the length of time that makes the most sense, find the right country, figure out the level of support and familiarity you want, and take and get credit for the courses you need to stay on track with your plans for graduation.

We can also help you continue to get the financial aid for which you've qualified as an in-resident student, and we can help you find and apply for scholarships to defray the costs.

There are some simple steps you can take to begin the process:

  1. Get in touch with This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
  2. Look at the Popular Programs page on this site.
  3. Search the database of the university's Study Abroad Office (SAO), which has information on hundreds of international programs and is searchable by region, type of program, area of study, and language of instruction.
  4. The website of the university's Study Abroad Office (SAO) hosts a broad variety of resources for students interested in studying abroad, including a searchable database of hundreds of study abroad programs from around the world.
  5. Meet with an International Study Advisor at SAO

All College of Natural Sciences students who go abroad will end up using the Study Abroad Office in one way or another. A good place to start is their FAQ section, as well as their "Get Started" page.  The McCombs Business School also has some great resources to help students find ways to fund their study abroad experience and learn about how to use the experience for professional purposes.
