About this course:
This intensive summer program aims to provide science students with the opportunity to study organic chemistry abroad.  The program is ideal for pre-health sciences students and students in other science majors.  In addition to studying organic chemistry, students will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.  This course will focus on building Spanish conversational and listening skills.  Students take six hours of coursework taught at the University of the Basque Country.  The organic chemistry course is taught by a UT faculty in a small classroom learning environment.  The Conversational Spanish will be taught by a professor in San Sebastián.  Students are in class for approximately four hours per day Monday through Friday for approximately six weeks.  This program is offered in the second summer session.  The university campus has about 10,000 students and is within walking distrance of the city.  San Sebastián is a vibrant city that is host to many festivals and cultural events.  Students will appreciate spending afternoons on San Sebastián's beautiful beaches.
