Candidate and Alumni Services

Student Records provides the following services for graduating students and alumni in Natural Sciences. Submit all requests and forms at the front counter in WCH 1.106. Deadlines may apply.

Verification or Senior Letter

Description: We are happy to provide letters for students needing verification of upcoming graduation for employment or course enrollment purposes. Employers may also confirm graduation status through the Registrar's degree verification page.

Full-time Enrollment Status for Half-Time (6 hours) Enrollment

Description: Students who are enrolled in at least 6 hours but less than 12 hours during their graduating semester may ask the dean to provide a letter to the Office of the Registrar requesting a change of enrollment status from Half-time to Full-time. Students may use Full-time Enrollment Status Verification from the Office of the Registrar to request continued insurance coverage through graduation.

Tuition Rebate Program

Description: A graduating senior who is a Texas resident may be eligible for a $1,000 tuition rebate upon graduation if he or she meets the eligibility requirements. If you are uncertain about your eligibility, submit your form and Student Records will evaluate it.

Required Form: Tuition Rebate Application

Deadline: Tuition Rebate Application forms are due by 5 pm the day before the official date of graduation. The form may be dropped off at WCH 1.106, front counter in the lobby, or faxed to 512-471-6337, attn:  Student Records.


B-on-Time Loan Forgiveness Program

Description: The Texas B-On-Time Loan program provides no-interest loans to eligible Texas students. The loans can be forgiven upon graduation if certain conditions are met.

Required Form: B-on-Time Loan Forgiveness Eligibility Confirmation Form

Deadline:
None, but students are encouraged to submit forms at the time of graduation. Forms cannot be acted upon until graduation. From start to finish, processing may take a minimum of 18 weeks. Forms may be faxed to 512-471-6337, attn: Student Records, or mailed to:
